The Hall opened its doors for its second open evening last Wednesday on the 25th of September. Sixty families were given a tour around the schools by teachers, staff, and pupils. Many Year 7 and 8 boys put on their design goggles and lab coats to show what they do on a day-to-day basis, whilst answering questions from prospective parents.
When families register their sons, they should expect to attend an Open Evening as their sons turn three. Prospective parents will be introduced to the headmaster, Mr Rycroft, who will explain the vision, aims, and objectives of The Hall. They will also meet Mr. Dobson, Head of the Junior School, who will paint a picture of what life is like for a young pupil at The Hall. Then, experienced members of staff and Year 8 boys will lead a tour across the three schools.
“You will benefit from seeing our wonderful facilities and specialist departments” says Lucy Richards, the Registrar and Alumni Manager. “By the time you depart, you will hopefully be able to envisage if The Hall would be the right learning environment for your son to start his educational journey.”
On the tour itself, Richards gives insight: “When families register their sons with us from those first early months, seeing The Hall in person can feel like a long way off! We hope your wander around our 135 years of history will help you picture your son here.”
The next Open Evening will be held on the 10th of October.
