Diversity and Inclusion Group

The responsibilities of this group will include but not limited to:

  • Being aware of current issues surrounding diversity and inclusion.
  • Being aware of best practice within other schools and organisations.
  • Promoting, championing and encouraging diversity and inclusion within the school community.
  • Providing leadership, oversight and guidance in relation to the development of a Diversity and Inclusivity Strategy including its key principles and the four areas for consideration, review and development.

Diversity and Inclusion Leads

They will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Promoting, championing and encouraging diversity and inclusion within the school community.
  • Providing advice, guidance and support on issues.
  • Leading and co-ordinating the Diversity and Inclusion Group.
  • Ensuring that communication about equality and diversity is effective, appropriate and raises awareness about our obligations and progress.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and workshops to all members of the school community.
  • Being aware of and sharing good practice in other schools and organisations.
  • Supporting staff in developing a better understanding of diversity and inclusion issues.
  • Contributing to the review and development of policies.
  • Ensuring that communication about equality and diversity is effective and appropriate.
