This week is Children’s Mental Health Week! This is an annual event set up by the charity Place2Be. They encourage children, young people and adults to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them. From this, children will grow and develop resilience to cope with what life throws at them.
This year, the theme is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. To go along with this, we’re asking boys to ‘Dress to Express’ on Friday to show off what it means to be their true selves.
We’re proud to be deeply invested in our pupils’ mental health here at The Hall. We make sure that our strong pastoral care addresses the individual need of each child. As such, we are constantly adding to our care to ensure ever-lasting support. Recently, we became a Tooled-Up School that ensures a wealth of resources for parents and carers to stay up to date with contemporary issues related facing children and the actionable ideas derived from the highest quality research evidence.
In addition to Tooled-Up, the school gets to know each child so that we can recognize promptly if issues occur, swiftly communicate them, and devise the best way forward so that our pupils are happy and healthy in body and in mind.
As we move through this week, we encourage all to think about mental health and what it means to be self-aware!
