Last Wednesday, the Middle School held a concert where they performed a range of Baroque, Jazz and Blues, Swing, and Rock and Roll in line with the music curriculum of these year groups.
The Hall’s expansive music curriculum has been lauded as excellent. A number of boys go on to win musical awards at top London day schools and national boarding schools, where competition is fierce, and standards are extremely high.
This year, ten pupils were chosen to be a part of the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain which is no easy feat and indicative of their tremendous work and appreciation of music, nurtured at The Hall.
Whilst these pinnacles of achievement are to be celebrated, it is most important that boys at The Hall are encouraged to gain a life-long love and respect for the music that they experience, create and discover in the wider world.
