Scouts and Cubs
The Hall School has its own cub and scout group – The 8th Hampstead, founded in 1923. The group, for boys aged 8 to 13, meets every Wednesday evening at school in term time and boys take part in weekend activities as well as a summer camp.
There are some vacancies for boys to join the cubs’ group at the Hall (ages 8-10 years). At meetings, boys learn various lifetime skills eg. navigation and crafts through badge awards while having fun and games, and mingling vertically across all ages; they also have an opportunity to go on a one night camp if they wish. Meetings are both learning and social occasions. On turning 10 years old, the boys are invited to join the Scout group which offers a wider variety of activities and challenges (camps, sailing).
Cubs meet every Wednesday during term time, 6.30-8.00 pm. Hesitant boys and parents are welcome to attend a taster session. Those who have already expressed an interest are on the waiting list to join at the appropriate time.
