The students and staff of Rietenbosch Primary School welcomed us with open arms on Day 6 as a variety of orchestral and vocal music and dance was shared between all the children in the school’s enormous hall. Two hours later, nobody wanted to stop the joyful music-making, but the Rietenbosch children needed to have their lunch … and we managed to squeeze in a quick game of football before we climbed aboard the coach heading for Stellenbosch. The vinery offered an idyllic setting for our picnic beneath the trees, with time afterwards to walk around the beautiful grounds, play giant Jenga, practise magic tricks, chat or ……. play a little rugby?!
