In the Senior School (Years 6-8), we usually appoint graduates with a degree in the subject they wish to teach. We recruit from a wide variety of sectors, including post-doctoral research.
We look for teachers who are passionate and knowledgeable about their subject and who delight in enthusing young people about learning. It is also important to us that our teachers consider themselves as ‘lifelong learners’ in the same way that we shape our young students to become.
In the Middle School (Years 4 & 5)and Junior School (Years 1-3), we usually recruit teachers with QTS following completion of a Primary PGCE in 2 Key Stages or an appropriate degree.
A degree and/or appropriate Teaching Qualification is required for a position in the Reception Department. This includes QTS / Early Years Professional Status / Early Years Teacher Status / other suitable and recognised Level 6 qualifications.
Teaching Assistants are required to hold relevant qualifications in Childcare and/or Education (Level 3) or must be willing to study for relevant qualifications. They must also have a good education to A Level or equivalent with GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
