Throughout the year a variety of curriculum trips take place to support the learning in a number of subject areas. In the Autumn Term for example, there is a Year 8 Geography field trip to Swanage, a cultural trip to Southwark Cathedral for the Year 4s, a Science field trip to Hampstead Heath for the Year 8s, a Year 8 French exchange trip, a History trip to Canterbury Cathedral for the Year 6s and a Science field trip for the Year 6s to ‘The Centre of the Cell’.

During the second half of the Summer Term an activities week is held for Years 4-8. All year groups take part for part of / the whole of the week take part in a residential trip.

Year 4 spend two nights and three days at Sayers Croft Centre in Surrey, and Year 5s visit the PGL centre at Torquay for the week; boys are challenged by a wide variety of fun activities including archery, wall climbing, pond dipping, orienteering, team challenges, compass work, rope tree climbing, a blind-fold trail, rafting, caving and shelter building. Year 6 boys spend three days away in Normandy to visit The D Day landing beaches, as well as enjoying day visits within London. Year 7 boys have the opportunity to try a variety of watersports including sailing, kayaking and windsurfing. Year 8 boys go to Skern Lodge in North Devon for a whole week of outward bound pursuits.

Each year the Classics Department runs a residential trip to Italy or Greece. During the February half term break 2020, a Classics Trip travelled to Greece for a six day adventure, visiting Mycenae, Delphi, the Corinth Canal, Nafplion and The Acropolis in Athens and enjoying the unique experience of taking part in a race in the ancient Olympic stadium in Olympia itself.

During the Easter Holidays each year, a Ski Trip to the Alps is organised for older boys and a Geography trip to Iceland for boys in Year 7 and Year 8 is offered.

Every three years since 2013 a Music Tour of about 40 musicians and singers has visited South Africa to perform concerts in a variety of venues and undertake the handover of funds raised by the Music School to music outreach communities based in townships in Cape Town and Pretoria.

In February 2014 and 2018 a squad of 24 cricketers visited Sri Lanka on challenging cricket tours. Football tours have become a recent addition to the sports offering – boys enjoyed a tour to Spain in 2018 and look forward to a forthcoming tour to Portugal in 2020.
